The Crown Macro-Tech 02 Series amps are enchanced versions of the Macro-Tech line. They offer the same features and performance of the original Macro-Techs while delivering key added benefits that continue to expand the versatility of this distinct product line.

Features:

* Ultra-Low Distortion: Crown's patented grounded bridgeTM circuitry generates incredible voltage swings with ultra-low distortion and superior reliability.
* VZ Power Supply Technology: The Macro-Tech 3600VZ and 5002VZ use patented power-supply technology which provides enormous power density and an optimum power match with a wide range of loads.
* Current Indicator: (Macro-Tech 5002VZ only) Cutting edge current flow/current limit (ILOAD/ILIMIT) indicators tell you if current is flowing to the loads, and if the loads demand more current than the amplifier can deliver.
* On-Board Compressors: (Macro-Tech 5002VZ only) Each channel has a custom compressor that reduces peak signal levels during input overload and output clipping. The compressors can be set for fast or slow operation, or turned off for output clipping.
* Loudspeaker Offset Integration (LOI): (Macro-Tech 5002VZ only) Each channel has a high-performance loudspeaker protection circuit that compensates for DC offset to protect woofers, and filters ultrasonic frequencies to protect tweeters.

Description

The Macro-Tech VZ Series represents the latest breakthrough in Crown's unending quest to deliver the most power in the smallest package.

The Macro-Tech 3600VZ packs 3,600 watts into a mere 3.5 inches of vertical rack space. The Macro-Tech 5002VZ packs an incredible 5,000 watts into little more than 5 inches of vertical rack space. Quite simply, that's more watts per-cubic-inch than any other amplifier.

Our patented variable impedance (VZ) technology permits the Macro-Tech 3600VZ and the Macro-Tech 5002VZ to dynamically adapt to both signal and load requirements in real time. This provides the best power match to the widest range of loads. Our innovative technology also permits us to pack large amounts of power into a compact package while achieving ultra-low distortion and without generating excessive heat.

Because they're Macro-Techs, both VZ amplifiers provide all the features found in other Macro-Tech amplifiers, including separate high-voltage power supplies, detented controls, P.I.P. expandability and comprehensive status indicators.

Description

Our unique Macro-Tech 24x6 and 36x12 provide practical solutions to biamplified system applications such as stage monitors. Each amp features a high- and medium-power channel in a single, low-profile unit. Both amps have separate power supplies which allow each channel to be treated as its own amplifier. Providing tremendous power to your bass cabinets, channel 1 of the Macro-Tech 24x6 has the same power and specifications as our Macro-Tech 2402, while the Macro-Tech 36x12 has the same power as our Macro-Tech 3600VZ. Channel 2 of each amp drives horns and other high-frequency transducers with the power of the Macro-Tech 602 and 1202 respectively.
